Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in patient assessment, including range of motion and mobility testing
• Implement treatment plans and provide patient care, utilizing therapeutic techniques
• Communicate patient progress to the Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment, precautions, and equipment use
• Complete all necessary documentation, including evaluations and care plans
• Coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers throughout the continuum of care

Requirements

• Associates Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Current State of CT Physical Therapy Assistant license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Previous experience in acute care or outpatient setting preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and coworkers
