Job Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough examinations and evaluations of patients' level of function, including strength, movement, motor control, joint mobility, pain, balance, coordination, and more.
  • Establish measurable goals with patients and their families to meet their needs.
  • Administer appropriate interventions and clinical decision-making, including modalities such as heat, cold, light, water, sound, electricity, mobilization, and therapeutic exercise.
  • Provide patient and caregiver education on treatment, precautions, and equipment use.
  • Participate in patient transition planning and coordinate care with other healthcare providers.
  • Delegate patient care tasks and provide clinical supervision to Physical Therapist students and Rehabilitation Aides.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Open to new graduates.
  • Previous experience as a Physical Therapist preferred.
  • Current State of CT Physical Therapy license required or active temporary license at the time of hire.
