• Job Shift: Shift 1
• Shift Details: 40 hours per week mix of day & evening shifts including rotating weekends & holidays

Responsibilities:

As a pharmacist, you will be responsible for the following:

• Supervising the work of supportive personnel (i.e. pharmacy technicians and associates) to ensure safe and accurate preparation and dispensing of drugs.
• Optimizing drug therapy for patients by designing appropriate and cost-effective drug therapy.
• Providing direct patient care for pain management.
• Maintaining safety of drug therapy by identifying, preventing, and resolving adverse drug events.
• Providing useful drug information as a liaison between the healthcare team and the pharmacy.
• Investigating and resolving drug and/or pharmacy-related problems.
• Documenting interventions, outcomes, and other statistics to demonstrate activity and success.
• Demonstrating competencies to meet age-specific patient needs.
• Periodically functioning as a charge pharmacist.

Qualifications:

• Education: Pharm.D. required.
• Connecticut Pharmacist license or eligible within 45 days of hire.
• PGY-1 Pharmacy residency preferred.
• Prior experience with EPIC systems preferred.
