About Us

St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport has more than 3,200 employees. It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. St. Vincent's is the first hospital in Fairfield County to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network and is the system's second-largest hospital.

Join us in making a difference in the lives of patients in our community by using your skills and expertise as a Pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Supervising the work of supportive personnel to ensure safe and accurate preparation and dispensing of drugs
• Optimizing drug therapy for maximum positive outcomes
• Direct patient care for pain management
• Maintaining safety of drug therapy through screening mechanisms and input from healthcare providers
• Providing useful drug information through collaboration with the Health Care Team
• Investigating and resolving drug and pharmacy-related problems
• Documenting interventions and outcomes for quality improvement
• Meeting age-specific patient needs
• Functioning as a charge pharmacist when required

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. Required
• Current CT Pharmacist license or eligible within 45 days of hire
• PGY-1 Pharmacy residency preferred
• Prior experience with EPIC systems preferred
