Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a patient caseload on a daily basis
  • Performing treatment modalities as directed by the Occupational Therapist
  • Implementing the plan of care to provide safe and efficient quality care
  • Coordinating patient care with other Agency personnel and community resources
  • Keeping the Occupational Therapist informed of patient status and changes
  • Documenting clinical and reimbursement information

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current Connecticut license to practice Occupational Therapy
  • Three (3) years of experience preferred
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of Occupational Therapy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers
