In partnership with the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™, this 12-month program at Windham Hospital provides a unique opportunity for you to gain confidence, competence, and clinical autonomy in a specialty area. We offer positions in Med/Surg/Telemetry, Emergency, and Operating Room departments.

Details

As a Nurse Resident, you will receive extensive hands-on training, clinical education, and support from experienced nurses. You will have the opportunity to incorporate research-based evidence into your practices, strengthen your commitment to nursing as a career choice, and enhance your critical thinking and team-building skills.

Responsibilities:

• Successfully complete the 12-month Nurse Residency program, which includes clinical immersion, classroom education, and training sessions
• Provide safe and high-quality patient care with confidence
• Collaborate and communicate effectively within the inter-professional healthcare team

Requirements:

• Graduate of a school of nursing (soon-to-be graduates are welcome to apply!)
• Active State of CT RN license (newly licensed nurses may start employment under Graduate Nurse license status)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to obtain and maintain department-specific certifications
