As a Nurse Resident, you will receive support, resources, and mentorship to empower you on your professional nursing journey. Partnering with the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Programโข, this 12-month program is designed to enhance your well-being and confidence through hands-on training, clinical experiences, and additional education.

Job Schedule: Full Time Standard Hours: 36 Job Shift: Shift 3 Shift Details: 12-hour shifts on either Oncology, Orthopedic, Cardiology, or Med/Surg unit; primarily nights; every other weekend and rotating holidays
In this program, you will be hired directly into a specialty area based on the needs of the hospital, which may include Critical Care, Progressive Care Unit, Med Surg, Cardiology / Telemetry, Emergency, Operating Room, Oncology, and Orthopedic units. You will receive focused clinical education both at the unit and in a classroom format.

Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of a school of nursing. Soon to be graduates are welcome to apply!
- Experience: New RN Graduate Nurses or newly licensed RNs.
- License and Certification:
- Active State of CT RN license. New graduates may start employment under Graduate Nurse license status (per the State of CT DPH guidelines) with pending license and must successfully complete first NCLEX testing and hold an active license within 90 days from the graduation date. Once an active state of CT RN license is obtained, the newly-licensed nurse will be placed into the Nurse Resident program cohort sessions.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
- Ability to obtain and maintain department specific certifications.
