Summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Behavioral Health Network (HHC BHN). Working at The Ridge, a newly created residential addiction treatment facility in Windham, CT, you will provide admission physical exams, psychiatric evaluations, and medication management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical exams and psychiatric evaluations for newly admitted patients
  • Manage the medical care of patients during their stay at the residential addiction treatment facility
  • Collaborate with the treatment team in the development and implementation of treatment plans
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications and provide patient education
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Connecticut
  • Previous experience in addiction treatment is preferred
  • Knowledge of advanced practice of nursing/PA-C, diagnostic testing, and clinical decision making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
