Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Behavioral Health Network (HHC BHN). Responsibilities
- Perform physical exams and psychiatric evaluations for newly admitted patients
- Manage the medical care of patients during their stay at the residential addiction treatment facility
- Collaborate with the treatment team in the development and implementation of treatment plans
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and provide patient education
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Connecticut
- Previous experience in addiction treatment is preferred
- Knowledge of advanced practice of nursing/PA-C, diagnostic testing, and clinical decision making
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
