Summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant for the Inpatient Cardiology position at Bridgeport. As part of the Hartford HealthCare Heart & Vascular Institute, you will have the opportunity to provide direct care to patients in collaboration with other cardiac care specialists. This is a full-time role with weekday shifts and minimal weekends required.

Advanced Practitioner Role Scope

In this role, you will directly provide care to patients in the inpatient setting in collaboration with noninvasive, interventional, structural heart, electrophysiology, and heart failure physicians. You will be responsible for identifying emergent diagnostic information and communicating it to your physician colleagues in a timely manner. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will prescribe, dispense, and administer therapeutic and corrective measures within your scope of practice.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant Master’s Program
  • Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a NP or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in the state of Connecticut
  • Experience in cardiology preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
