Responsibilities

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for the following:

• Prepare and position patients and select appropriate parameters for image acquisition.
• Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
• Maintain patient data and ensure the accuracy of imaging documents.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report any potential issues.
• Maintain a clean and orderly department.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) obtained within 30 days of hire date.
• One or more of the following certifications:
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credential from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Medical Sonographer credential from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credential from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
