Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled MRI Tech to join our team at Seton Medical Center-Austin in Austin, Texas. As an MRI Tech, you will play a vital role in helping diagnose and treat various pathologies by operating a scanner to obtain detailed images of the body. This is a PRN Nights position, offering a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

As an MRI Tech, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and positioning patients accurately for cross-sectional imaging
• Performing patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination
• Ensuring high-quality images and documents are submitted promptly
• Following radiation safety procedures
• Maintaining proper functioning of equipment
• Assisting in maintaining a clean and orderly department

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire
• Certification in one of the following: Nuclear Medical Tech, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Medical Sonographer, or Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
• Preferably hold Radiologic Technologist certification in General Practice
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
