Details:

PGS (PsychoGeriatric Services) is a multi-disciplinary behavioral health practice with nearly 30 years of dedicated service. We specialize in delivering mental health services to residents of long-term care facilities, both in-person and through telehealth. Our diverse and expanding team of psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and nurse practitioners provides quality care to over 300 facilities in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia.

As a Licensed Psychologist at PGS, you will provide individual and family counseling, offer on-site assistance at nursing homes and similar facilities, consult with facility staff to coordinate care, and deliver periodic educational talks. You will have the opportunity to work autonomously, exercise independent judgment, and make a significant impact on the lives of seniors in our community. Our mentoring program ensures that you receive support and guidance as you grow professionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and family counseling
  • Offer on-site assistance at nursing homes, assisted care, and similar facilities
  • Consult with facility staff to coordinate care
  • Deliver periodic educational talks
  • Adhere to established regulations, policies, and procedures while exercising initiative and independent judgment

Requirements:

  • State License as a Licensed Psychologist
  • Availability to work during core business hours (M-F, 8-6p ET)
  • Passion for working with seniors and providing exceptional care
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 20 minutes and lift 15 pounds
