• Shift Details: 10-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 5:30 PM

Job Description: As an LCSW on our Crisis Intervention team, you will work under the direction of the Crisis Intervention Coordinator and the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit Medical Director. Your responsibilities will involve the timely evaluation and initial treatment of patients in psychiatric crisis in the Emergency Department. You will collaborate with the Emergency Department staff and on-call Psychiatrist to develop a care plan and ensure appropriate disposition of patients based on their condition and available resources. Your role is essential in ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining patient confidentiality, and addressing age-specific patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct timely evaluations and provide initial treatment for patients in psychiatric crisis
• Collaborate with Emergency Department staff and the on-call Psychiatrist to develop a comprehensive care plan
• Ensure appropriate disposition of patients based on their condition and available resources
• Maintain patient confidentiality and sensitivity to age-specific patient needs

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work
• State of Connecticut licensure as an LCSW
• At least one year of experience providing crisis intervention services in a behavioral health setting
• Experience with dual diagnosis, children, adolescents, and geriatric populations preferred
