Job Summary

As an Interventional Technologist, you will operate digital equipment and perform complex invasive procedures to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment. This includes positioning patients, preparing contrast media, and utilizing advanced imaging technology. You will also have the opportunity to work in various departments, such as the O.R. and Cath lab, and may be required to be on-call.

Responsibilities

• Operate IR equipment to produce accurate images while maintaining sterile technique
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures
• Accurately input procedural information into electronic medical records
• Obtain relevant patient information and explain procedures
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
• Participate in department quality, safety, and compliance initiatives
• Demonstrate competencies to meet age-specific patient needs and cultural diversity

Qualifications

• Connecticut Radiographer license
• ARRT certification in Radiography
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
• At least 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (1-2 years of IR experience preferred)
