Description

As an Interventional Technologist, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, utilizing your comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
Responsibilities
- Operate interventional radiology equipment to produce accurate images while maintaining sterile technique
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures, selecting appropriate exposure factors based on patient age, pathology, and diagnosis
- Input procedural information into electronic medical records for accurate documentation
- Obtain relevant patient information, including lab values and medication usage
- Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment according to performance standards
- Participate in quality, safety, and compliance initiatives
- Demonstrate competencies to meet age-specific patient needs and cultural diversity
- Collaborate effectively with team members to provide quality service
Qualifications
- State of Connecticut Radiographer license
- ARRT certification in Radiography
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, IR experience preferred
