As an Interventional Technologist, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, utilizing your comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Operate interventional radiology equipment to produce accurate images while maintaining sterile technique
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures, selecting appropriate exposure factors based on patient age, pathology, and diagnosis
• Input procedural information into electronic medical records for accurate documentation
• Obtain relevant patient information, including lab values and medication usage
• Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment according to performance standards
• Participate in quality, safety, and compliance initiatives
• Demonstrate competencies to meet age-specific patient needs and cultural diversity
• Collaborate effectively with team members to provide quality service

Qualifications

• State of Connecticut Radiographer license
• ARRT certification in Radiography
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, IR experience preferred
