  • Shift Details: Straight night shift, every other weekend, including holidays

Responsibilities

As a Graduate Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing and monitoring patient care plans
  • Serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
  • Noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders
  • Assessing and coordinating patient discharge planning needs
  • Providing individualized care to patients based on their physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-related needs
  • Delegating aspects of care to other nursing personnel
  • Participating in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds
  • Reflecting the standards of nursing practice and ethical guidelines
  • Developing, implementing, and revising individualized plans of care
  • Participating in activities for professional growth and development

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school
  • Current Connecticut RN license
  • BLS certification by the American Heart Association
  • Associate degree required, BSN preferred
  • Two years of Medical-Surgical/Critical Care experience preferred
