Shift Details: Straight night shift, every other weekend, including holidays

As a Graduate Nurse in Surgical Services, your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing and monitoring patient care plans
- Serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
- Documenting and carrying out physician and nursing orders
- Assessing and coordinating patient's discharge planning needs
- Providing individualized care to patients by identifying physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-related needs
- Delegating aspects of care to other nursing personnel consistent with their level of education and expertise
- Participating in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds
- Reflecting ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, ANA Code of Ethics, and ANA Social Policy Statement
- Developing, implementing, and revising individualized plans of care
- Participating in activities for professional growth and development outside of patient care
Qualifications
To be considered for the Graduate Nurse position in Surgical Services, you need to meet the following qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Current Connecticut RN license
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association
- Associate degree required, BSN preferred
- Two years of Medical-Surgical/Critical Care experience preferred
