Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans
  • Record and communicate patient condition
  • Coordinate patient care with all disciplines
  • Carry out physician and nursing orders
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning
  • Provide individualized care based on patients' needs
  • Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel
  • Participate in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds
  • Reflect ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, ANA Code of Ethics, and ANA Social Policy Statement
  • Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care
  • Participate in professional growth and development activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school
  • Current Connecticut RN license
  • BLS certification by the American Heart Association
  • Associate degree required, BSN preferred
  • Two years of Medical-Surgical/Critical Care experience preferred
