Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans
- Record and communicate patient condition
- Coordinate patient care with all disciplines
- Carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning
- Provide individualized care based on patients' needs
- Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel
- Participate in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds
- Reflect ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, ANA Code of Ethics, and ANA Social Policy Statement
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care
- Participate in professional growth and development activities
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Current Connecticut RN license
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association
- Associate degree required, BSN preferred
- Two years of Medical-Surgical/Critical Care experience preferred
