At MidState Medical Center, a vibrant and progressive organization, we prioritize patient care, community, and the well-being of our employees. Our Nurses work collaboratively in a patient-centered care model, providing the highest level of care to our diverse patient population. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse will utilize evidence-based practices to develop individualized plans of care, meeting the unique needs of each patient and their families.

As a Graduate Nurse (GN, RN) in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will join a specialized team of healthcare professionals dedicated to treating complex medical and surgical patients who require intermediate level care. With 20 private rooms and the latest technologies, including Electronic Medical Records, our PCU ensures the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
  • Monitor and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to the plan of care
  • Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ASN/BSN)
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Connecticut
  • New graduates are welcome to apply and will work under supervision per State guidelines
