Are you a graduate nurse looking to start your career in an acute care inpatient med/tele/stroke unit? Join our team at Hartford HealthCare, where every moment matters. As a Graduate Nurse on our Telemetry/Stroke Unit, you will work in a collaborative environment with an interdisciplinary team focused on a patient-centered care model. This is a Part-Time position with a standard shift of 24 hours per week, night shift from 7pm-7am, with a rotating schedule that includes every 3rd weekend.

Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, you will develop a plan of care that meets the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients based on evidence-based practices and standards of practice
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care
  • Assess patient status and respond to changes in condition
  • Administer medications and treatments according to established policies and procedures
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, self-care techniques, and preventive measures
  • Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly

Requirements

  • Education: ASN/BSN
  • Valid RN license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Compassionate and caring attitude
