As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in maximizing sales potential and supporting the overall operations of our retail and production outlets.

Role Summary

As an Assistant Manager, you will assist the manager in planning, training, and overseeing all retail and production operations. You will conduct regular staff meetings to improve communication, develop a superior workforce, and review production results to establish goals and take appropriate actions to ensure success. In the absence of the manager, you will perform all management tasks and present a professional image to set an example for the team. Your primary focus will be on production but should also be proficient in retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular staff meetings to improve communication and engagement
• Develop a superior workforce through coaching conversations and development plans
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly production results
• Monitor staff productivity and establish standards/goals
• Assist in scheduling staff and tracking salary expenditures
• Timely and accurate reporting related to HR, Safety/Asset Protection, and Accounting
• Ensure store performance meets budgets in revenue, payroll, and expenses

Requirements

• Sensitive to guest needs and wishes
• Ability to work effectively with people with disabilities or other special needs preferred
• Computer experience and proficiency in internet use and various software applications
• Prefer experience with profit and loss, sales, or cost management accountability
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move independently within the facility and community
• Able to lift and carry 20-100 pounds with assistance
• Able to stand, stoop, bend, or carry for extended periods
• Tolerance to extreme changes in temperature and humidity
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or longer shifts if needed
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of personal vehicle insurance

Experience

• 0-2 years of retail or comparable management experience
