Hartford HealthCare is seeking an experienced and passionate Emergency Department Clinician to join our Behavioral Health team. As an Emergency Department Clinician, you will provide behavioral health counseling services and support patients in crisis. If you have a Connecticut licensure in LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LADC, Psychologist, or RN, along with a Bachelor's Degree for RN or a Master's Degree in a mental health field for all others, we encourage you to apply.

- Shift: Shift 1 (Requires ability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.
- Administer individual and group therapy, maintaining thorough and confidential records of observations.
- Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
- Provide patients with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
- Responsible for precertification of patients seen in the Emergency Department prior to admission into the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit.
- Obtain patients' prior history and communicate the information to designated staff for appropriate treatment.
- Collaborate with the psychiatrist to develop and initiate the plan of treatment.
- Provide appropriate and safe discharge plans under the guidance of the psychiatrist.
Qualifications:
- Connecticut licensure in LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LADC, Psychologist, or RN required.
- Bachelor's Degree required for RN, Master's Degree in a mental health-related field required for all others.
- Experience in behavioral health preferred for Registered Nurses.
