About Journey House
Journey House is a specialized residential treatment facility located on the Mansfield campus, serving adolescent girls ages 12 to 18 who are involved in the court system. Our evidence-based treatment modalities include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), substance abuse treatment, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Emotional Freedom Technique, and Trauma-informed yoga.
Position Summary
As the Director, you will provide clinical and administrative leadership to Journey House, ensuring program goals are met, clinical programming is carried out effectively, and budgets are managed efficiently. You will also be responsible for maintaining licensing and accreditation standards, monitoring quality improvement indicators, and fostering collaborative relationships with hospital, community, and statewide agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure standards of efficiency in intake, service provision, and discharge
- Provide oversight and direction on clinical programming
- Develop and manage program budget
- Maintain relevant licensing and accreditation standards
- Monitor and report on quality improvement indicators
- Serve as the organization's PREA Coordinator
- Foster collaborative relationships with agencies
- Be a resource for senior leadership and management team
- Work closely with Court Stabilization Service Division (CSSD) leadership
- Understand and work within union contracts
- Provide leadership and management for direct reports
Qualifications
- Current CT licensure as a LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LADC, or psychologist
- Master's Degree in Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse field
- 5+ years of experience working with adolescent behavioral health population
- 5+ years of progressive clinical and administrative leadership experience
- In-depth knowledge of clinical treatment modalities
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to engage, coach, and mentor
