As a Speech Pathologist at Encompass Health, you will have the opportunity to channel your knowledge, skills, ambition, and experience on a daily basis. Your role will involve providing speech-language treatment and patient care according to hospital, state, and federal regulations and professional guidelines. You will also delegate tasks, supervise fellows, technicians, and assistants, and maintain open communication with hospital departments to ensure that patient, staff, and hospital needs are met.
Credentials
To qualify for this position, you must have current state licensure or certification, CPR certification (preferred), and successful completion of an accredited master's or bachelor's degree program in speech-language pathology. You should also have demonstrated competence in speech-language pathology evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment. Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers are essential.
