Responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography (CT) procedures according to department procedures and protocols
• Enter data accurately into the RIS system and transfer annotated images into PACS
• Obtain relevant patient information and ensure concordance with exam request
• Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment according to performance standards
• Start intravenous sites, assess existing sites, and inject intravenous contrast
• Maintain clinical proficiency and participate in quality, safety, and compliance initiatives
• Provide clinical supervision and instruction to students as necessary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
• Connecticut state Radiographer license required
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• 6 months experience in a Radiology hospital setting preferred
