Summary Boston Medical Center is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Jamaica Plain, MA. As a CT Technologist, you will utilize computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Our CT scan department serves both adult and pediatric patients and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. As a CT Technologist, you will work under the direct supervision of the CT Manager and collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a CT scanner to perform technologist duties as required and necessary for departmental workflow
  • Perform appropriate studies on patients of all ages, ensuring that the exam requisition matches patient identification and condition
  • Prepare and position patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and modesty
  • Accommodate patient needs and staffing requirements through flexibility in scheduling and timeliness of studies
  • Set up equipment and use appropriate imaging techniques
  • Adjust imaging factors to improve study or quality factors
  • Provide additional views and variations of techniques as requested by radiologists
  • Complete procedures in a timely fashion, ensuring quality images and proper documentation
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing complaints professionally and handling requests for services
  • Adhere to managed care guidelines and ensure accurate documentation for billing purposes

Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology, CT Specialty required or obtained within one year of employment
  • BLS or CPR certification required
  • IV certification required
