Responsibilities

As a Clinical Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct client care using individual, couple, group, and family therapy
• Assessing and planning care by evaluating the psychiatric and psychosocial needs of the client
• Providing crisis intervention to clients and families
• Educating clients and family members about available resources and support groups
• Working effectively across programs for clients with mental health and substance use disorders
• Negotiating level of care and length of stay with managed care companies
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to provide an integrated delivery of care
• Participating in administrative activities such as team meetings and staff education

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
• Three years of experience providing direct services to psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse population
• Previous experience in assessment, diagnosis, and individual/group therapy
• Valid CT Licensed Masters of Social Work if Master's degree is in Social Work
• Flexibility with schedule, including evenings, weekends, and travel between sites
