Role and Responsibilities

As a Clinical Consultant, you will provide screening and risk assessment to individuals awaiting arraignment. Additionally, you will collaborate with court personnel to recommend appropriate treatment options. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting individual, couple, group, and family therapy sessions based on client's needs
  • Documenting medical records and meeting regulatory requirements
  • Assessing and planning care for patients, prioritizing their needs
  • Providing crisis intervention to clients and families in multiple settings
  • Educating clients and families about available resources
  • Working effectively with clients with mental health and substance abuse disorders
  • Collaborating with managed care companies and informing them of changes in client's status

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years' experience providing direct services to psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse population
  • Experience in assessment, diagnosis, and individual and group therapy
  • Valid CT Licensed Masters of Social Work if Master's degree is in Social Work
  • Knowledge of computer systems and basic keyboarding skills
  • Flexibility with schedule, including evenings, weekends, and travel between sites
