Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care using individual, couple, group, and family therapy tailored to each client's needs
• Prepare appropriate medical documentation to meet regulatory requirements
• Assess and plan care by evaluating the psychiatric and psychosocial needs of clients
• Provide crisis intervention to clients and families
• Educate clients and refer them to appropriate resources to support their care and recovery
• Collaborate effectively across programs for clients with mental health and substance use disorders
• Negotiate level of care and length of stay with managed care companies
• Participate in administrative activities such as team meetings, clinical supervision, and staff education

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
• Three years' experience providing direct services to psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse population
• Previous experience in assessment, diagnosis, and individual and group therapy
• Valid CT Licensed Masters of Social Work if Master's degree is in Social Work
• Demonstrated experience using a computer
• Flexible with schedule per program needs, including evenings/weekends and travel between sites
