Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, recording and communicating patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Carry out physician and nursing orders, assessing and coordinating patient's discharge planning needs.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assess patients and provide individualized care.
  • Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel and participate in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds.
  • Reflect ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice and ANA Code of Ethics in daily activities.
  • Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care.
  • Participate in activities for professional growth and development outside of patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Certified BLS Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
  • Preferred Credential: Certified Surgical Tech specializing in Surgery from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
  • Experience preferred.
