Responsibilities

• Ensure the presence and proper arrangement of surgical equipment and supplies in the operating room
• Assist the surgeon during procedures, following professional and legal standards
• Assist with cleaning the operating room, routing equipment, and disposing of used materials

Requirements

• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technician program
• Certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Proficient in English language skills
• Strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding maintenance of sterile field
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation
• Familiarity with various surgical procedures and the ability to anticipate surgeon's needs
