Job Description:

As a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in our OR General Surgery department, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating patient discharge planning, and collaborating with the healthcare team for efficient and patient-centered care. Your role will involve assessing patients, identifying their individual needs, and providing compassionate care based on those needs. You will also have the opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary patient rounds and contribute your expertise to achieve desired patient outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders
• Provide individualized care based on patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-related needs
• Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel
• Participate in activities for professional growth and development

Qualifications:

• Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
• Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Red Cross obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
• Preferred Credential(s): Certified Surgical Tech specializing in Surgery credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
• Experience preferred
