Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring the well-being and safety of patients.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines involved in patient care, ensuring a seamless and coordinated approach.
  • Record and communicate patient condition and progress to the healthcare team.
  • Carry out physician and nursing orders to support patient care.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills in assessing patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-related needs.
  • Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel as appropriate.
  • Participate in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds to provide input and contribute to desired outcomes.
  • Adhere to the ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, ANA Code of Ethics, and ANA Social Policy Statement.
  • Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care.
  • Participate in professional growth and development activities outside of patient care.

Qualifications

  • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross.
  • Preferred Credential: Certified Surgical Tech specializing in Surgery credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
  • Experience in a surgical setting is preferred.
