• Shift Details: 1st Shift (7:00AM- 3:00 PM) with call, weekends, and holidays in rotation

St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport is integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network and is the system’s second-largest hospital. Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Record and communicate patient condition as appropriate
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs
• Carry out physician and nursing orders
• Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel
• Participate in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care
• Participate in activities for professional growth and development outside of patient care

Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Tech obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program required
• Experience preferred
