In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in both our Menino (Inpatient) and Moakley (Outpatient) Operating Room departments, providing exceptional patient care during surgical procedures. Position Details:

As a Certified Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and aseptic surgical environment. Your responsibilities will include prepping and sterilizing rooms, transporting patients, passing instruments, and providing assistance to surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other staff during surgery. You will utilize your technical skills and knowledge of aseptic techniques to uphold established sterile standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and sterilize surgical rooms for procedures
• Transport patients to and from the operating room
• Assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists during surgeries
• Pass surgical instruments to the surgical team
• Ensure adherence to sterile standards and procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited/approved program in surgical technology
• Surgical Technician certification (unless employed as a surgical technologist before July 1, 2013)
• Previous surgical technician experience preferred
• Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written
• Familiarity with medical terminology and abbreviations
• Computer proficiency
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
