Our Breast Imaging department at Boston Medical Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a vital role in our mission to provide high-quality healthcare services. Under the general supervision of the Breast Imaging Manager and Lead Breast Imaging Technologist, you will generate diagnostic sonographic images for the radiologists and assist physicians during sterile invasive procedures. Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide variety of diagnostic exams in accordance with departmental workflow
• Assist physicians during sterile invasive procedures
• Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment following infection control protocols
• Provide timely and high-quality scans for Radiology and other departments
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy during the sonographic exam
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures
• Maintain equipment and maximize equipment uptime
• Provide excellent customer service to patients of all ages
• Communicate with patients and fellow staff with professionalism and respect
• Accommodate patient and staffing needs through flexibility in scheduling
• Operate electronic systems and maintain proper documentation

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in diagnostic medical sonography or equivalent
• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification (OB or AB or RVT)
• Experience in a related clinical area is preferred
• Knowledge of ultrasound principles, procedures, and equipment operation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
