- Shift Details: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide direct client care using individual, couple, group, and family therapy tailored to each client's needs as indicated in the treatment plan.
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive medical documentation in adherence to licensing and third-party agency requirements.
- Perform behavioral health, substance use services, and crisis intervention services independently.
- Assess the psychiatric and psychosocial needs of clients, organize and prioritize care and treatment, and advocate for appropriate resources.
- Deliver in-home clinical services and crisis intervention to clients and families across multiple sites.
- Provide continuous education to clients and families, referring them to appropriate levels of care, support groups, and available resources.
- Collaborate effectively across programs for clients with both mental health and substance use disorders.
- Negotiate level of care and length of stay with managed care companies, keeping third-party payers informed of any changes in the client's status.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to provide integrated healthcare to clients and families.
- Conduct emergency evaluations for clients in the community as required.
- Participate in administrative activities, including team meetings, clinical supervision, and staff education.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
- Active CT License in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Alcohol & Drug Counselor, Marital & Family Therapy.
- Minimum of three years of experience in dealing with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse population.
- Previous experience in assessment, diagnosis, and individual and group therapy.
- Proficiency in using a computer and basic keyboarding skills.
