Summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in providing inpatient/outpatient and community care, assessing and coordinating treatment plans, and performing behavioral health and substance use services independently.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direct client care using individual, couple, group, and family therapy based on treatment plans.
  • Prepare accurate medical documentation to meet regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Assess and plan care by evaluating psychiatric and psychosocial needs, organizing and prioritizing treatment.
  • Deliver in-home clinical services and crisis intervention to clients and families.
  • Educate clients and family members on available resources and support groups.
  • Work effectively across programs for clients with mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to provide integrated healthcare delivery.
  • Conduct emergency evaluations if required.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervise staff, and engage in ongoing learning and development.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Active CT License in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Alcohol & Drug Counselor, Marital & Family Therapy.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse population.
  • Previous experience in assessment, diagnosis, and individual and group therapy.
  • Proficient in using a computer and basic keyboarding skills.
