Responsibilities
- Provide direct client care using individual, couple, group, and family therapy specific to each client's needs
- Prepare appropriate medical documentation to meet regulatory requirements
- Assess and plan care by evaluating psychiatric and psychosocial needs of the client
- Provide in-home clinical services and crisis intervention to clients and families
- Educate clients and refer them to appropriate resources for maximum care and recovery
- Work effectively across programs for clients with mental health and substance use disorders
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to provide integrated healthcare delivery
- Conduct Emergency Evaluations for clients in the community if required
- Participate in administrative activities and staff education as assigned
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Active CT License in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Alcohol & Drug Counselor, Marital & Family Therapy
- Minimum of three years experience in dealing with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse population
- Previous experience in assessment, diagnosis, and individual and group therapy
- Proficiency in using a computer and basic keyboarding skills
