Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team at Hartford HealthCare. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care and support to clients and their families across the continuum of care. As a Behavioral Health Clinician, you will work closely with clients, conducting individual, couple, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to meet their unique needs. You will be responsible for assessing and planning client care, preparing accurate medical documentation, providing crisis intervention services, and advocating for appropriate resources. Your expertise in both mental health and substance use disorders will be essential as you collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver integrated healthcare.
You'll be joining Rushford Center, a nationally recognized provider of addiction and mental health services, known for its exceptional prevention, treatment, and recovery programs. We offer a range of programs including Acute Care and Evaluation, Residential Addiction Treatment, Individual, Group & Family Therapy, Intensive Outpatient programs, and Community Support Programs. Responsibilities
- Provide direct client care using individual, couple, group, and family therapy techniques
- Assess and plan care based on psychiatric and psychosocial needs
- Prepare accurate medical documentation in compliance with regulations
- Deliver in-home clinical services and crisis intervention
- Educate clients and family members on available resources and support groups
- Collaborate effectively across programs for clients with mental health and substance use disorders
- Negotiate level of care and length of stay with managed care companies
- Engage in administrative activities including team meetings and staff education
- Conduct emergency evaluations when required
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
- Minimum of three years' experience providing direct services to psychiatric patients and substance use population
- Previous experience in assessment, diagnosis, individual/group therapy, and crisis intervention
- Active CT License in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Alcohol & Drug Counselor, or Marital & Family Therapy
