As a Behavioral Health Clinician, you will provide inpatient/outpatient and community care for clients and families, ensuring access, assessments, and coordinating treatment plans. Responsibilities
- Provide direct client care using individual, couple, group, and family therapy specific to each client's needs as indicated on the treatment plan.
- Prepare appropriate medical documentation to meet regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Assess and plan care by evaluating the psychiatric and psychosocial needs of the client, organizing and prioritizing care, and advocating for appropriate resources.
- Provide in-home clinical services and crisis intervention to clients and families.
- Continuously educate clients and family members, referring them to appropriate levels of care, support groups, and resources to maximize care and facilitate recovery.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to provide integrated healthcare delivery.
- Conduct emergency evaluations for clients in the community when required.
- Participate in administrative activities such as team meetings, staff supervision, and education.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Three years of experience providing direct services to psychiatric patients and substance use population.
- Previous experience in assessment, diagnosis, individual/group therapy, and crisis intervention.
- Active CT License in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Alcohol & Drug Counselor, or Marital & Family Therapy.
