Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Utilize individual, couple, group, and family therapy techniques to deliver direct client care in accordance with each client's treatment plan.
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive medical documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
- Assess and plan care by evaluating the psychiatric and psychosocial needs of clients, organizing and prioritizing treatment, and advocating for appropriate resources.
- Provide crisis intervention to clients and families, both on-site and in the community.
- Educate clients and family members, referring them to support groups and additional resources to facilitate the treatment and recovery process.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure integrated healthcare delivery.
- Participate in administrative activities, including team meetings, clinical supervision, and staff education.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (must obtain within 60 days of hire).
- Previous internship experience in assessment, diagnosis, and individual and group therapy.
- A valid CT Licensed Masters of Social Work (LMSW) within 90 days of graduation.
- Proficiency in using a computer and basic keyboarding skills.
- Flexibility with schedule, including evenings, weekends, and travel between sites.
