Job Responsibilities
- Lead a team of nurses and staff in the Psychiatric Emergency Department
- Direct and coordinate patient care activities
- Ensure the safe and efficient movement of patients through the department
- Monitor and maintain staff performance
- Support a healthy work environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field or in the process of completing the education requirement within six months of employment
- 2 years of experience as an RN in a psychiatric behavioral health unit
- 6 months of charge nurse or supervisory experience
- Current Connecticut License as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within 90 days of hire
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
