Responsibilities

As the Assistant Nurse Manager, you will be the clinical expert in Patient Care Services and serve as a role model for Registered Nurses and other staff under your supervision. You will oversee patient flow, ensuring the overall quality and efficiency of care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assigning patient care activities and ensuring staff is capable of providing appropriate care
  • Supporting team members and promoting a collaborative work environment
  • Facilitating challenging situations and resolving conflicts
  • Monitoring and developing staff performance

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required (candidates in the process of completing this requirement will be considered)
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience
  • Charge or supervisory experience
  • Current ACLS certification or completion within 3 months of employment
  • PALS certification required within 6 months of employment
  • TNCC and ENPC certifications encouraged
  • Current Connecticut Registered Nurse license
