Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic radiologic examinations on patients, including positioning, operating radiographic equipment, and providing patient care during imaging exams
  • Utilize appropriate radiation protection techniques to minimize patient and personnel exposure
  • Input procedural information into the electronic medical record, ensuring accurate documentation
  • Obtain relevant patient information, including lab values and medication usage, to perform appropriate exams
  • Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns
  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment according to established standards
  • Participate in department quality, safety, and compliance initiatives
  • Provide clinical supervision and instruction to students when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
  • State of Connecticut Radiographer license
  • ARRT certification in Radiography
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience with PACS and digital technology preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cross-section anatomy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve
