At Guzman y Gomez Mexican Kitchen, our mission has always been to reinvent fast-food. We're Australia's only fast-food restaurant to be 100% clean, with no added preservatives, artificial flavours, added colours, or unacceptable additives in our food. As the Head Cook, you'll be responsible for maintaining kitchen quality standards, overseeing recruitment, training, and development of the kitchen crew, supporting P&L management, and ensuring compliance with food safety and WHS policies. Experience in a kitchen/cooking role, team leadership, commercial cookery certification, food safety knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with kitchen quality standards
- Supervise recruitment, training, and development of kitchen staff
- Support restaurant manager with P&L management
- Ensure adherence to food safety and WHS policies
Requirements
- Experience in a busy hospitality kitchen
- Leadership and team development experience
- Certificate in commercial cookery or equivalent
- Strong understanding of food safety
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
