Summary

DispatchHealth Management is looking for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with acute care experience in ER, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine to join our growing team serving the Boston, MA community. As part of our Advanced Practice Providers team, you will work with DHMTs (Medical Technicians) to provide comprehensive in-home healthcare services. You will be equipped with everything needed to treat common to complex injuries and illnesses, including point of care laboratory studies, minor procedures, medication administration, and more. Details

As a Physician Assistant at DispatchHealth Management, you will:

  • Work as part of a clinical care team, driving or riding in a company vehicle to deliver care in the patient’s home through our innovative in-home care service lines.
  • Perform comprehensive health assessments and diagnose and treat complex illnesses.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions such as splinting, suturing, wound care, and minor procedures.
  • Use critical thinking skills and follow evidence-based standards of practice.
  • Accurately and thoroughly document patient encounters.
  • Analyze test data to diagnose, treat, and arrange appropriate follow-up for patients.
  • Educate patients and families on acute illness management.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, family members, and other healthcare providers.
  • Adhere to clinical and safety standards and protocols.
  • Provide care with compassion, empathy, and cultural competency.
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and remote teams.
  • Attend training and clinical team meetings.
  • Lead your practice and always prioritize the well-being of patients.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, you should have:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an APP in the Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, or similar fields.
  • Graduate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • National board certification.
  • Current BLS certification, ACLS preferred.
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
