Job Details:

  • Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - OR General Surgery
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week
  • Shift: 2nd shift, 12-hour shifts (11a-11p), including call, weekends, and holidays
  • Location: Hamden, CT

Responsibilities:

As a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing and monitoring patient care plans
  • Recording and communicating patient conditions
  • Coordinating patient care with healthcare team members
  • Carrying out physician and nursing orders
  • Assessing patients' needs and providing individualized care
  • Participating in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds
  • Developing and revising individualized plans of care
  • Participating in professional growth and development activities

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • Certified BLS Provider from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Preferred Credential: Certified Surgical Tech specializing in Surgery from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
  • Experience in surgical procedures is preferred
