Description

As a CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver Trainee at SYSCO, you will build relationships with our customers and become familiar with their operations in order to meet their needs and expectations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely and efficiently operating a tractor-trailer to deliver a variety of products to customer locations
• Manually unloading products, such as meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies
• Ensuring accurate and on-time delivery while following assigned route schedules
• Providing exceptional customer service with a positive and friendly attitude

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Recent driving school graduates are welcome
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must hold a valid CDL permit
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Must be able to lift, push, or move products weighing an average of 40-60 pounds (up to 100 pounds)
• Flexibility to work overtime as required, including occasional weekends and holidays
• Willingness to attend CDL-A training class, which may require time away from home
