As a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver at US Foods, Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of our wide range of food products. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering customer orders promptly and maintaining high levels of customer service
- Safely unloading products using a hand truck and placing them in designated storage areas
- Performing manual heavy lifting of items weighing up to 80 pounds
- Making frequent stops and delivering products in various weather conditions
- Verifying delivery of items with customers and collecting payments where needed
To be successful as a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver, you must:
- Be at least 21 years old and possess a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence
- Hold necessary endorsements and meet DOT qualifications
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Possess a valid U.S. driver's license with proper endorsements if required
- Have a clean driving record with no more than two traffic violations in the past two years, no DUI convictions in the past three years, and no driver's license suspensions in the past three years
- Have a minimum of six months of commercial driving experience or three months of driving experience in the food and beverage delivery industry
- Pass a DOT physical examination
